Professional Self-Care Supervision for ACA Counsellors

SUpervision

The primary goals and purpose of self-care supervision for counsellors is to promote overall well-being, enhance the quality of client care, and ensure an ethical and effective professional practice. Self-care supervision provides a dedicated space to reflect on and address emotional, psychological, and physical needs, as well as to navigate the challenges and stressors inherent in the helping professions. Five annual session limitation allows for the inclusion of (5) additional supervision sessions dedicated to practice management and client- focused supervision. By structuring supervision in this way, the aim is to provide a holistic and well-rounded support system that addresses the diverse needs of supervisees. This approach not only enhances the quality of service provided to clients but also nurtures the overall health and effectiveness of all ACA professionals.
